»Harri« Outdoor Knife
The »Harri« solid steel knife by the ADAM Manufacture is a unique item for outdoor use. It is made entirely of C60 steel, making it extremely robust. The material allows for strong chops on branches or wood-like materials, as well as fine cuts in wood or paper. Due to its very wide back, it can also be used with a hammer as a carving, chopping, or chisel tool.
C60 steel is usually used for axes, but it is also excellent for outdoor blades. It is highly wear-resistance and features tensile strength, along with an extraordinary lifespan and sharpness of the blade. The hardness of the heat-treated material is 61 HRC. The hardening is partial, so the edge is hard and robust, while the back and grip area are highly flexible and tough.
The absence of any wood or adhesive makes this knife a low-maintenance companion in all situations. As no wood is used, there is no risk of swelling of the handle or splitting at the glue joints due to moisture or condensation.
The knife is not rustproof, as rustproof steels do not feature the benefits of high-alloy carbon steel for outdoor blades, but they do rust.
Corrosion of the blade is prevented with minimal maintenance after use. It is only necessary to remove dirt or dry the blade. For further care, we recommend camellia oil. It can be applied as needed and protects the blade from corrosion.
The knife comes in a sheath made of vegetable-tanned cowhide. Hand-stitched with a saddle stitch, it is nearly indestructible. The design is simple and functional.
The combination of pure C60 steel and premium cowhide not only makes this product a professional tool for outdoor activities, but also an excellent everyday companion in the workshop, on hikes, or for a barbecue.Product update:
