The development of our DICTUM plane series is based on our Herdim planes, which we have been manufacturing for decades for our violin makers, who demand the utmost precision and flawless workmanship. Solid, stress-relieved cast steel bodies*, with finely lapped soles and sides squared precisely to each other, reflect the high standard of quality. The easily adjustable blade setting allows for quick corrections, while ergonomically shaped handles - developed through extensive testing - and polished lever caps provide a secure and comfortable grip.
