This non-slip work pad made of robust silicone has given us the best results when sharpening with water and oil stones. The workplace in the kitchen or workshop remains dry and clean as the surrounding rim prevents the spread of excess water, honing oil or lapping fluid. With the sharpening stones placed directly on the pad, the dimpled structure compensates for the smallest unevenness, holds the stone in place and even absorbs slight vibrations. The soft silicone also protects freshly sharpened tools placed on the mat. Easy to roll up for space-saving storage.
Silicone
Silicone is dirt-repellent, resistant to a wide range of chemicals, oil and grease as well as high temperatures, and can be cleaned simply with water and a few drops of washing-up liquid.
