When working with a plunge saw or router for example, aluminium bench dogs have the advantage that they are easily machinable and thus there is no damage to the machine and the saw blade or router bit in case of collisions. Sometimes, the cutting line runs over one of the bench dogs especially when sawing/milling diagonals, or formatting without a guide rail on the MFT. If you are not aware of this, you may saw into one of the bench dogs. If the bench dogs are made of aluminium, the saw blade or cutter is not damaged.
Diameter 19.9 mm for an exact fit in 20 mm dog holes, e.g. in the DICTUM Multifunction Table or the Festool MFT. The support ring with Ø 25 mm offers stability and a good stop surface. In addition, O-rings made of abrasion-free silicone can be fitted as bounce protection for sensitive workpiece edges. The M8 internal thread makes it possible to mount the bench dogs from below the worktop, e.g. with star knob screws.
