Powermatic PM2244 Drum Sander
The control panel includes a main switch, on/off switch, emergency-stop button, feed control, mm/inch selection button, reset button, and LED display with real-time information on the conveyor feed speed, drum height and load monitor.
With the sanding unit (Ø cylinder 127 mm) attached on one side, you can also sand larger items, such as doorframes. Max. sanding width (single/double frame) 559/1118 mm. The parallelism of the sanding cylinder to the conveyor belt can be reproduced easily and precisely. Thanks to easy access to the fixing clips, changing the abrasives (sanding rollers 75 mm wide) is quick and simple.
The patented Feed Logic system prevents overloading the machine and, if necessary, turns down the feed speed by itself. This gives you perfect sanding results while preserving the machine. The spring-tensioned belt stays in place thanks to the ceramic guide and can be readjusted if necessary. Feed speed from 0 to 3 m/min can be continuously adjusted. The frame height adjustment (2.12 mm per turn) made of hardened guide rails is especially robust and durable.
The base cabinet made of welded sheet steel offers enough storage room for abrasive paper rolls or similar and is fitted with four wheels.
