In the Hanseatic city of Zwolle (Netherlands), there once flourished a thriving blacksmith’s guild. This tradition is continued by the Zwolle Forging Manufacture, which also collaborates with the Dutch Craftsmen's Guild, »Ambacht Nederland«. The collective, comprising three master blacksmiths along with other fellow guild members and apprentices, specialises entirely in traditional artisanal forging. Each piece of craftsmanship bears a unique marking on the axe head.
