Lightweight, well-balanced axe with sharp blade for camping and hiking. With flattened hammer head for driving pegs. Wide blade with double bevel for splitting kindling and hewing small trunks. For finer work, the axe can be guided above the blade at the front and the beard protects the fingers. Double bevel.
Traditional and hand-forged
Frederik Thelin continues the old tradition of hand-forged axes and hatchets in Sweden. Each of his unique, highest quality axes is forged by hand on the anvil with hundreds of hammer blows. Multi-layer fire-welded axe heads consist of an impact-absorbing soft iron body with a hard carbon steel core, for high edge retention and long-lasting sharpness.
