The Moxon Vice is a fitted front vice. It can be clamped to any workbench. It has also a very flexible working height and can be individually adjusted for an ergonomic posture. Maximum possible clamping width 115 mm. Clearance between screw threads 360 mm.
Wooden screw thread vices
Unlike bench vices with a metal screw thread, the wooden screw thread utilises oil-free lubrication. This means you no longer get dirty workpieces and the screw thread does not become clogged with the typical oil-wood dust mixture. Bench vices are easy to remove, as the wooden screw threads do not tend to get stuck. The wear-resistant maple screw threads travel 8 mm per rotation, making them very swift. This saves time, and is particularly useful when clamping workpieces with different dimensions.
