The Trabert »Yeti« hunting boot was specially designed for extreme cold. The striking slip-on boot is made of robust nubuck cowhide. The boot is fully lined with naturally grown lambskin. The lambskin and the additional AluTherm lining warm and protect the foot even in low temperatures. Naturally grown lambskin has a special property: it is temperature-balancing. The natural air cushion that encloses the fine hairs allows air to circulate optimally, thus ensuring a pleasant warmth and preventing sweating. The additional AluTherm lining consists of an aluminium membrane embedded in felt, which is incorporated into the upper and foot area. It provides special protection against the cold. The shorn lambskin in the foot and upper area and the breathable leather insole with felt overlay ensure comfort and a healthy foot climate. An adjustable leather strap at the end of the upper allows the width to be adjusted individually. These classic robust winter boots are made in Germany in a double-stitched design. This particularly durable way in which the sole is created, is only carried out by a few shoemakers nowadays. The non-slip Vibram treaded rubber sole is slip-resistant and feels comfortable on almost any ground, and even ensures secure footing in snow and ice. It hardly gets any warmer than this in winter.
Double-Stitched Style
In shoe-making, the word »style« describes the join between the top and the bottom of the shoe. »Double-stitched« is the most robust design, traditionally used for climbing boots. In this technique, after finishing the first stitching, the upper shoe leather is curled up and sewn to the midsole. Turning the leather provides stronger protection against moisture. Double stitching makes shoes particularly hard-wearing and durable.
