HNT Gordon Handles for Accu-Burr Burnisher, AB¹
This pair of handles, developed by HNT Gordon, is a high-quality addition to the Accu-Burr burnisher, providing a secure hold and enabling even guidance. The raised profile of the handles, fitting precisely between the index finger and thumb, allows for more precise control of the pulling motion. The solid brass ferrule with a 20 mm deep fitting ensures a play-free fit at both ends of the honing steel. If necessary, the handles can be permanently fixed with superglue. The handles are made from turned gidgee wood. The Accu-Burr (No. 703551) is not included in the scope of delivery.
Gidgee (acacia cambagei) is one of the hardest woods besides desert ironwood. It grows all over Australia. Due to the very long drying process, this wood is only collected as dead wood and is therefore very rare.
