Stationary machines (woodworking machines)
EXPERTISE IN STATIONARY WOODWORKING MACHINES
Advantages of stationary woodworking machines
Column drill presses, also known as pillar drills, are permanently installed devices used to drill precise holes perpendicular to the surface in various materials. Due to their design, however, the possible applications are limited. In addition, these stationary machines, just like pillar drilling machines bench drills, often require considerable space in the workshop. In many cases, the high purchase costs are hardly in relation to the use. This is where the Drill stands for cordless screwdrivers or drill drivers / drills come into play - they are more compact and much more versatile, making them ideal for DIY enthusiasts.

Planners
Planers are used for smoothing and levelling wooden surfaces. A common variant is the combination planer, which enables both levelling and thickness planing. Combined thicknessing and levelling planers enable the precise planing of wood both for the Production of exactly flat surfaces and for adjusting the material thickness in a single device. This is particularly advantageous in confined spaces and reduces the acquisition costs for two machines. One disadvantage is the time required for conversion. We offer compact, semi-stationary surface planers and thicknessers. These machines require less space and investment than a combination version. The time required for conversion is eliminated. For smaller projects, these machines do not have to make any compromises compared to large stationary woodworking machines.
Thesurfaceplaner is required for the first operation, smoothing one side and adding an angled edge. This work step is the most important when planing on the jointer. If the Angle is not correct over the entire Length, this will affect the entire project later on. Depending on the use, the planers are available with aluminium or cast iron work tables. The cast aluminium version is slightly lighter than the cast iron version. If you only use the machine in the workshop and do not need to move it frequently, you are better off with the cast iron tables. The higher Weight means even smoother running and the higher Density of the Material means even better abrasion resistance and therefore less wear. Thanks to the ferromagnetic surface, pressure combs, e.g. from the Manufacturer Magswitch from our range of accessories, can be used. Our compact planers are available in three different widths, depending on the orientation of the work to be done.
The second planer is thethicknessingmachine, also known as a thickness planer. Here, the board can be planed to the desired thickness and width. The Shinko thickness planer has a clearance height of 3 mm-150 mm and is therefore suitable for most jobs.
Having both machines available as individual planers makes work much easier and ensures a good work flow. Like our Shinko surface planers, the Shinko thickness planer is equipped with spiral-arranged indexable knives, which produce a pulling cut and thus achieve the best surfaces. Matériau du manche often still rely on continuous planer knives, which are suitable for sharpening but are more difficult to install and do not match the surface quality of the spiral knives.
Bandsaws
Bandsaws are particularly suitable for curved cuts. It would also be possible to use the bandsaw for rough cutting of panel materials, for example, but a circular saw or portable circular saws are much better suited for this. The structure of the band saw produces a somewhat unclean cut, which is more suitable for solid wood, where edges still need to be levelled. With their endless saw blade, bandsaws are ideal for irregular cuts and curves. They are suitable for both straight and curved cuts and are often used to cut wood blanks to size, create joints or process contours. There are different saw blades for Bandsaws, wider ones for ripping solid wood or narrow ones for making curved cuts or curves.
In the DICTUM range you will find a wide selection of bandsaws in various sizes and application areas. With our BS 200, we have a small bandsaw for modellers, with the BS 270 and BS 320 models for the hobby workshop or the BS 360 a saw that is every bit as good as a professional machine. To round off our range, we have a fine-cutting bandsaw from the Manufacturer Pegas. The design of this machine allows you to make very fine cuts similar to a scroll saw. The Range of application here tends to be Model or toy making, but fine detail work or inlay work is also a popular use. Fine-cutting saw band guides can be retrofitted as accessories for our DICTUM BS 270 and BS 320. Although these do not completely replace the fine-cutting band saw, they come very close.
Column drill presses
Column drill presses, whether in the shape of a more compact bench version or the version with a large working height and stand, are a sensible purchase for many uses. It is quickly ready for use, delivers precise drill holes, protects the drilling tools thanks to adjustable speeds and offers an ergonomic working position compared to drills with the use of a Drill stands. We offer various models with infinitely variable Speed control or Speed ranges that can be achieved by means of belt adjustment.
Matériau du manche woodworking machines:
The centrepiece of a workshop is the sliding table saw. However, very few hobby craftsmen actually have the space for this type of machine. In this case, it is recommended to use Festool circular table saws or Underfloor pull-push saws from Mafell, for example. MFT tables in combination with plunge-cut circular saws are also a popular option for carrying out a lot of work on a sliding table saw in a confined space.
There are also a number of woodworking machines such as edge sanders or cylinder sanders that are frequently required. Here too, however, there is the question of space as well as the question of costs and benefits, e.g. with a cylinder sanding machine. Hand-operated machines are usually used for this work in hobby workshops.
A router can be found in every carpenter's workshop. Hobbyists use router tables in which routers can be mounted. This saves the purchase of two machines.
Safety precautions and accessories
Due to the high performance and speed of stationary woodworking machines, safety is of central importance. Protective devices such as covers, push sticks, emergency stop switches and extraction devices are basic safety features. Wearing hearing and eye protection is also strongly recommended. The installation of dust extraction systems is crucial to remove wood dust and thus ensure a clean and safe working environment. In addition, accessories such as rip fences and templates make it easier to carry out work with precision.
Stationary woodworking machines are important tools in professional workshops and offer enormous versatility and high performance for precise and efficient woodworking. Their precise processing ensures high-quality and consistent results, making them the preferred choice for craft workshops and ambitious hobby uses. Our range includes smaller stationary woodworking machines that are ideal for hobby workshops. We also offer used machines from time to time. We would be happy to advise you in detail about our range.
