Marquetry
Inlay work
Using the traditional knife technique, various veneer woods and materials are tested for their creative character on the basis of test pieces. The individual parts of a picture are either set into a recess cut from the base veneer or harmoniously assembled and glued onto a base surface. The spatial representation of various designs is also practised and advanced techniques of marquetry work are touched upon.

Veneers & inlays
Thanks to veneer technology, inexpensive substrate material can be given a high-quality aesthetic surface. Inlays offer the possibility of incorporating patterns or images into a wooden surface using veneer pieces of different colours and textures. Practical step-by-step instructions show you how to apply veneer to the wood, what you need to bear in mind when working with it and how it can also be successfully applied in special cases, e.g. on curved surfaces.Veneers & Inlays.
