Lie-Nielsen® Shoulder Plane No. 41

Description

When they were first introduced by Preston in the late 19th century, these rabbet planes represented a major breakthrough in plane design. Record continued making these planes until a few years ago. Now, Lie-Nielsen has begun manufacturing its own version with the same quality as its predecessor. The mouth, easily adjustable using a setscrew, and the precisely machined, box-shaped body make these planes the tools of choice for fitting and finishing shoulders, rabbets, tenons and grooves. Bronze cap iron. Blade angle 18°, bevel angle 25°. Results in a cutting angle of 43°.
