Handheld routers
EXPERTENWISSEN ABZIEHLEDER
Probably the best-known router or Handheld router is the Routers with its wide range of applications. However, there are also other milling machines that can be used to complete specialised but repetitive tasks in a matter of seconds.
In addition to the classic Handheld router or Routers, our range also includes special machines for various uses in furniture and wood construction.
Routers:
We offer machines of various sizes and with different scopes of delivery to suit your projects. The Router bits cutter is the classic routing machine for freehand, template or rail-guided use. The adjustable and lowerable lifting basket means that the cutter can also be immersed in the material, which is not possible with an Edge router. Equipped with the appropriate routing tools, the Routers offer the most diverse range of applications of all hand-held routing machines.
CNC-controlled Handheld routers:
With the appearance of a classic router, the Shaper Origin with automatic routing correction offers maximum precision and efficiency. With almost all the advantages offered by a CNC control, the machine can produce the most complex routing without the need for router templates or guides.(Shaper Origin)
Edge routers:
The Edge router is a one-handed router, often also called a trimmer, which is used specifically for processing workpiece edges, e.g. for routing a radius or chamfer or for Flush trimming cutters. A special support surface on the router enables the machine to be guided safely without tilting. Due to the small router diameters, these machines have a moderate power output of approx. 800 W. (Festool edge routers )
Milling motors:
Milling motors in themselves are not stand-alone Handheld routers. It is clamped with its 43 mm clamping neck in devices such as portal milling machines or milling devices (e.g. panto routers) and fitted with a milling cutter. It can also be used as a drive machine for grinding using a clamped flexible shaft.
Groove-cutting machines:
The Groove-cutting machines NFU from MAFELL are suitable for a wide range of milling operations in timber construction. Grooves, rebates and notches can be milled quickly and precisely into construction timber using milling heads in various widths.(Mafell Groove-cutting machines)
Multi routers:
The Multi router MF from MAFELL is an all-rounder. It processes solid wood, MDF, plasterboard and aluminium composite panels in equal measure and can be equipped with saw blades and milling heads(Mafell Groove-cutters).
Face milling machines:
The Face milling machine or Flush trimming cutter is a Handheld router for protruding wood patches, knot patches or knot plugs. It makes it easier to repair damaged areas of wood(Mafell Face milling machines).
