Course details

Die handwerkliche Verarbeitung von Leder zu einem Gürtel ist Thema dieses Kurses. Nach einer Einführung in die Werkzeug- und Lederkunde werden an einem Probestück der Entwurf, die Schnittmusterherstellung, der Schnitt und das Nähen von Hand geübt. Spezielle Bearbeitungsmethoden, wie das Schärfen der Kanten, Polieren, Spalten, Falzen und Färben, werden besprochen. Jeder Teilnehmer fertigt seinen eigenen handgenähten Gürtel.

While studying ethnology, the qualified cabinetmaker already worked as a set builder at the Munich TV studios. He was working as a freelance art carpenter in the Munich Gewerkehalle. For several years, he has worked as a consultant for DICTUM in courses dealing with Japanese wood joints.
