»Penelope Chilvers« stands for timeless footwear fashion made exclusively from high-quality natural materials. English-born Penelope Chilvers studied painting at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London and finished her studies with a scholarship in Madrid. But her love for Spain and its culture began long before. Penelope lived in Barcelona for a number of years, working with artists and craftspeople there as a painter and designer. During this time she enjoyed riding in the Collserola National Park, located in the hills above the city. While riding in the traditional Spanish riding boots, she had the idea of bringing them to England. She commissioned a small number of traditional shoemakers to develop the perfect riding boot to her specifications – the »Long Tassel Boot«. The boot had its breakthrough when it was discovered by Kate Middleton and thus became an icon of country style. Penelope Chilvers’ shoes combine traditional craftsmanship with timeless style. The robust boots and ankle boots are classics that will accompany you for a lifetime.
