Cut square mortises quickly and easily
This cast-iron mortising machine ensures vibration-free operation combined with precision, efficiency, and long service life. The mortising bits are easy to handle and produce clean, sharp-edged mortises without chipping. Numerous adjustment options – essential for series production and precise repetition – make this machine the perfect companion in any woodworking shop.
The sturdy cross slide with workpiece fence and adjustable dovetail guides can be moved along the X and Y axes using two handwheels.
Adjustable stops allow you to set the required mortise position, depth, angle, clamping height, and travel of the workpiece, ensuring mortises can be reproduced quickly and accurately.
The depth setting of the mortising bit is operated via a hand lever with an integrated gas spring to assist the mortising process. For comfortable handling, you can adjust six lever positions.
The STM 200 allows angled mortises to be cut with ease – whether at an angle to the edge or the surface of the workpiece. The fence on the cross slide can be set at an angle, for example when cutting inclined mortises for louvre doors. In addition, the entire drill column can be tilted 30° to the right or 45° to the left, for example when working on angled table or chair legs.
That’s not all – the column can also be rotated by 180°, allowing even large workpieces to be machined with ease, such as milling the lock cases of interior doors.
Mortising bits (available separately): max. 25 × 25 mm for softwood, 19 × 19 mm for hardwood.
