Description
Max. chiselling depth 45 mm, shaft diameter ¾ inch.
The Japanese auger bit has a centring pin, a cutting edge and a single, deep flute for the quick removal of shavings. The specially formed flute is an advantage with soft, long-fibre wood species in particular. The cutting edge can easily be resharpened. The finely ground chisel narrows by 0.1 mm towards the tip to prevent it from getting stuck in a mortise. Auger bit and chisel are made of carbon steel. Note: It may be necessary to shorten (with a metal coping saw) and adapt the auger bits depending on the morticer and bore.
