A leather full of character featuring an unmistakable patina
The high-quality buffalo leather is given an additional greasy, oily or waxy layer during the finishing process; this type of leather is also called fat leather. This coat gives the pull-up leather its special character. The processing makes the pull-up leather very sensitive to kinks and scratches. This means that when the leather is bent or scratched, it becomes lighter in these areas, which is intended. When using these leather products, an unmistakable patina is created, which gives the pull-up leather its typical vintage look. Despite its sensitive surface, pull-up buffalo leather is very resistant and robust. Belts, bags or purses made from pull-up leather are therefore unique pieces. The robust leather with its soft, delicate feel tells a story that grows and evolves with use. Vegetable tanned.
Buffalo leather
Unlike normal cowhide, buffalo leather has distinctively coarser pores and is characterised by a typical grain structure in which the hair channels are clearly visible. Buffalo leather fades over time, giving it its typical character. Visually, it is characterised by its open-pored, natural structure, which is due to the fact that the leather is made from the top layer of skin and sanded on the grain side, which can have a wide variety of injuries such as healed scars, insect bites, bald or thickened areas, etc. The latter give buffalo skin its rustic, natural appearance, which is particularly appreciated by real leather lovers, as is the pleasant, soft and warm feel.
