Bridge City HP-9 v2 Dual Angle Block Plane

Description

The plane sides of this block plane have been »skeletonized«. By eliminating the traditional cast metal rips found in most antique and contemporary metal bodied planes John Economaki was able to create a futuristic new design. The plane is designed to take a plane blade with dual edges; one ground primarily for end grain (42-degree attack angle) and the other for general purpose use (47-degree attack angle). The blade tension is achieved by a four-linkage mechanism. The blade is adjusted with a modified Norris mechanism allowing for extremely fine blade advancement and minimum backlash. All components are CNC machined from stainless steel (base) or solid aluminium and anodized for a beautiful smooth finish. Plane blade made of A2 steel. Adjustable mouth piece. Comes with depth skids and fence.

Depth Skids:
  • The depth skids will allow you to dimension your stock with with 0.002″ repeatability up to 35 mm in thickness

Dual Face Fence:
  • By attaching two fence posts to either side and attaching the guide fence, you can plane 90° or 45° edges at ease
