The Gateway1 brand name is inspired from the same word used in the days of USA´s birth. Back then, settlers, frontiersmen, trappers and adventurers referred to the port far up a river as »Gateway One«. These ports were crucial as hubs for survival in the harsh outdoors, and it was here that the pioneers stocked up on equipment for their adventures. Founded in 2017 in Denmark, the company chose the name Gateway1 to express the high functionality of the rubber boots under the toughest conditions in nature. The main goal of the Gateway1 brand is to develop rubber boots with optimum fit, function and maximum comfort with a focus on quality as well as social and environmental responsibility. The bison, often referred to as the buffalo and depicted in Native American style, was deliberately chosen as the logo - a symbol of strength and survival. All boots are carefully crafted in the proud tradition of craftsmanship. Before they leave the factory, they undergo rigorous testing to ensure they can withstand the most demanding conditions.
