Description
The »Traunstein« hunting boot is optimally suited for year-round use. It is made of high-quality loden fabric and hydrophobic, waxed nubuck leather. Hydrophobic leather has already been treated with a combination of paraffins, silicones, fluorine compounds and polymers during the tanning process. This process increases the surface tension of the leather fibres and makes the leather highly water-repellent. The leather dries faster for better heat regulation and increased breathability. Combined with the lightweight and breathable loden, the boot is very comfortable to wear. The elaborate processing of the new wool, the fulling, makes the loden not only more resistant and warmer, but also water- and dirt-repellent. D-ring eyelets and lacing hooks ensure comfortable lacing and optimal fit. The shoe is classically double-flex stitched; the upper, frame and insole are thus joined by a welt seam. The outsole is then applied directly to the insole and the frame, without an additional midsole. Thanks to the grippy rubber treaded sole, the boot guarantees sure footing even on rough terrain.

Traditionally, all of the double-flex, double- or even triple-stitched shoes are made in Ebensee near Lake Traunsee in Upper Austria. The combination of natural raw materials and traditional craftsmanship ensures long-lasting shoes of consistently high quality.
