This high-quality wood plane setting hammer is handcrafted in the USA from brass alloy and North American black walnut wood. The brass face is used for adjusting the plane blade, the replaceable nylon face for wedging and loosening the blade in the plane body. The black nylon is very sturdy and provides excellent response. The oval handle made of black walnut is formed by hand through multi-axis turning, pressed accurately into the hammer head and secured with a cross pin.
The plane hammer is not intended for driving nails or for intensive hammering on other objects.
