Description
The classic Vatersay cape was improved especially for shooting in bad weather conditions. The water-repellent finish makes raindrops roll off and the breathable Sympatex® membrane makes the coat absolutely water- and windproof. In addition, a separate button placket prevents moisture from penetrating the two-way zip including chin protection. The individually adjustable hood can either be conveniently stowed in the collar or unzipped. The coat also has two fleece-lined slip pockets for protection against the cold, integrated wind cuffs on the sleeves and a fleece-lined inner collar. Practical two-way zippers from the elbow to the side hem allow convenient access to the pockets underneath without having to remove the coat. At the same time, they also serve to provide ventilation and increase freedom of movement on longer marches. The two waterproof bellows pockets offer plenty of storage space for cartridges and other hunting gear. The flaps of the bellows pockets can be fixed open for quick access to ammunition or equipment (retaining strap & press stud). A generously sized inner pocket with zip ensures the safe storage of your hunting license and important papers. The internal drawstring allows for individual waist size adjustment and ensures a perfect fit. In addition, the RECCO® rescue system is integrated into the hood. If you get lost in open terrain, it is crucial that you can be located quickly. With RECCO® technology, professional rescue teams are able to search large areas quickly, even with limited visibility, and find you in case of emergency. The technology is a two-part system consisting of an active detector used by organised rescue personnel and a passive reflector integrated into the hood of the coat. The RECCO® detector emits a radar signal. If this signal hits the RECCO® reflector, it is thrown back to the detector. The closer the detector gets to the reflector, the stronger the returned signal becomes. This allows the professional rescue team to pinpoint your position.
