Crafted of durable 11 oz. Oil Finish Shelter Cloth, the fabric comes from British Millerain, one of England’s oldest and most esteemed textile manufacturers. The treatment with liquid wax gives the jacket exceptional water-resistance, reminiscent of the centuries-old tradition of oil-soaked canvas used by sailors to protect against harsh weather, as early as the 15th century.
The classic, cape-like shoulder construction without exposed seams enhances waterproofness, offering optimal protection in inclement weather. The spacious, expandable cargo pockets with concealed handwarmer pockets provide ample storage space and functionality. Inside, the jacket is lined with soft Alaskan Guide flannel, ensuring warmth and comfort.
