Steel wool is ideal for smoothing, cleaning and deburring metal, wood and painted surfaces.
Our long-fibre quality steel wool is made from selected high-grade steel fibres and ensures a fine, even finish.
In woodworking it is particularly useful on figured or textured surfaces, as the fibres highlight the natural structure without sanding the surface flat. It is well suited for intermediate sanding or for dulling glossy lacquer and shellac finishes. On metal it reliably cleans high-quality objects and polishes nickel silver and brass to a high shine. Also suitable for plastics, stone and glass.
Not suitable for use with water-based finishes.
