The set consisting of a shooting board and low angle jack plane No. 62 is the ideal solution for precise shooting of end grain. It allows the controlled removal of the finest shavings and produces square, clean end faces for accurately fitting joints.
The shooting board guides the workpiece securely and accurately at a 90° angle. It prevents skewing and enables reproducible planing, even with narrow or short workpieces.
The long low-angle jack plane No. 62 is perfectly suited to working end grain. Thanks to the low cutting angle and long-bodied design, the plane runs smoothly and under full control. The supplied »Hot Dog« (auxiliary shooting handle), once fitted, provides improved control and ergonomics when shooting.
