Description
Factory-configured bench plane — ready for immediate use and individually customizable with optional components.
The Veritas® Custom series is based on a modular plane concept with precisely machined, perfectly matched components. The models offered by DICTUM are factory-configured and can be selectively expanded if required. Optionally available components, such as frogs for adjusting the cutting angle or adjustable plane fences, allow individual configuration for different applications and personal working preferences.
PM-V11™ Steel is made from a new, powder metallurgy steel alloy. With its ultra-fine and homogeneous material structure and extreme hardness (HRC 61-63), this steel has double the edge-retention capacity of A2 steel. PM-V11 blades allow a razor-sharp edge and are highly durable even at a bevel angle of less than 20°. All blades come with a 2° microbevel and can be sharpened on conventional waterstones.

- Mechanism for quick removal/attachment of the chipbreaker means no need to adjust the distance of chipbreaker from cutting edge of the blade (e.g. after sharpening)
- Exchangeable frog (also available in 40°/55°) enables adjustment of cutting angle for highly grained wood
- Two threaded holes on both sides of the plane body for attaching an optionally available side fence
