Description
The 1.5 kW (2 HP), digitally controlled, magnetic DVR (Digital Variable Reluctance) motor ensures continuous monitoring of the running motor in order to adjust the strength of the magnetic field needed to maintain a constant speed and torque.
The menu provides many additional settings: bore depth setting, automatic start and stop function, left/right rotation, the saving of eight rotation speeds as favourites, metric/imperial units, countersink function (prevents the drill from wandering), thread cutting function, as well as diverse safety features.
Advantages:
- No overheating and wear through the smooth starting of the motor; solid steel rotor with no wire windings, brushes or permanent magnets
- No pulleys or drive belts to get dirty
- The ideal rotation speed can be calculated by the computer or set steplessly by turning a rotary knob for settings between 50 and 5500 rpm
- The computer controls the speed and keeps it constant while drilling
- The DVR drive maximises the effectiveness of the motor torque without interruption
