Course details
The skew chisel is the ideal turning tool for smoothing and shaping spindle work.
Once you have mastered the correct handling of this tool, it produces clean, gleaming surfaces that no other turning tool can match.
With the right technique, the skew allows you to cut precise, dimensionally accurate and finely detailed profiles in spindle wood, with little to no sanding required.
This course teaches correct hand and finger positioning, the proper presentation angle and the cutting techniques needed for accurate smoothing and confident work with the skew chisel.
