Spiral Form Turning – Centred and Off-centre Bowls

Course details

In woodturning, there are countless techniques for creating objects that seem almost impossible at first glance. In this course, participants learn how to turn two bowls with precision: one centred and one off-centre. These two bowls are then combined to form a spiral. The surface can be refined at the end by charring or by adding colour.

Content:
  • Introduction to turning with a faceplate
  • Image examples of this technique
  • Correct mounting on the lathe
  • Turning two different bowls – one centred, one off-centre
  • Surface treatment
