The Okatsune represents
the pure form of pruning shears:- Razor-sharp for clean, precise cuts
- Clear, minimalist design for easy handling
- Exceptionally robust yet lightweight
The Japanese pruning shears for roses, shrubs, and fruit trees are
available in three sizes – for small, medium, and large hands. The blades are forged from fine-grained Japanese carbon steel and subsequently hardened. This ensures they remain sharp for long periods and cut effortlessly even through thicker branches.
Clean, smooth cuts promote the tree’s natural healing process. Okatsune grinds the precisely aligned blades slightly hollow on the inside, preventing resin and plant sap from sticking while also making the shears easier to maintain.
- Slender design: enables cuts close to the trunk or in hard-to-reach areas
- V-spring: distributes cutting force evenly along the handle length for fatigue-free use, even during extended work
- Colourful, coated plastic handles: provide a secure grip and make the shears easy to spot
Tip: For blade maintenance we recommend Camellia Oil (No.
909009). For resharpening, our Sharpening Stone Set for Garden Shears (No.
711360) is ideal.
