Description
In Japan, centuries of isolation from outside influences led to the development of unique woodworking tools and techniques. In this film, Shokunin (Master Cabinetmaker) Hiroshi Morita, himself with over 40 years of professional experience, shows us how toproperly sharpen and use Japanese chisels, planes and saws. The correct stance and handling as well as perfect conditioning of the tools is demonstrated through the construction of two Japanese wood joints. An indispensable educational tool for all those interested in working with Japanese hand tools.
