Furniture Making with Minimal Tools – Basic Course

Course details

With a core kit of just 15 tools, you will build your first piece of furniture.

The essential tool set includes marking tools, saws, a hand plane and chisels, as well as a complete sharpening kit for honing plane blades and chisels. Throughout the course, you will learn to use each tool correctly — from marking out and sawing to planing and chiselling. Along the way, you will also learn how to sharpen and maintain your tools properly. You may purchase the tools in advance or work with the tools provided.

You will immediately apply what you have learned in a practical project. During the course, you will build your first piece of furniture: a simple bench made from solid oak panels (approx. 1.2 m long). It makes an elegant addition to the home, but can equally be used outdoors — on a terrace, a balcony, or as a striking feature at the entrance to the house.
