Description
Each board is unique
Made from carefully selected heartwood pine, this cutting board is characterised by its dense grain and warm, reddish hue. A distinctive design feature is the curved longitudinal edges, which follow the natural grain direction of the heartwood. The surface is treated with food-safe walnut oil.
- Pine wood: Softwood that is gentle on your knife blades and has proven antibacterial properties (Institute for Environmental Medicine and Hospital Hygiene, University of Freiburg).
- Lightweight: The board can be easily held with one hand – ideal for scraping herbs directly into the pot or for easy cleaning over the sink.
- Sliding dovetails or ridged walnut end grain: Prevent the board from warping and ensure long-lasting dimensional stability.
- Wood care service for chopping boards: We offer a professional care service to extend the lifespan of your chopping board. We remove the wear and cutting marks with a plane and re-treat the surface with walnut oil. This service can be utilised as long as the cutting board retains a minimum thickness of approximately 18 mm.
Care instructions:
- Do not put the cutting board in the dishwasher
- Clean the board with hot water, dish soap, and a brush, following the grain on both sides
- Dry the board with a soft cloth
- Stand the board upright to dry
