Description
Recommended for children from 6 to 8 years.
The cut resistance is determined with the coup test. A rotating circular blade cuts through the glove at a constant speed until the material has been cut through. The number of cycles resisted compared to a reference material is given as a factor. Each level represents a doubling of the protective effect: Level 5 = factor 20+.
To determine the tear resistance, the glove is first cut about 1 cm wide. A tensile force measurement is now used to determine the force required to tear the material further. The level is set according to the required force (in Newton): Level 4 = 75+ N.
The puncture resistance test is performed by a defined nail piercing the glove. The force needed results in the protection level: Level 2 = 60 to 99.9 N.
