Description
The wood of the mango tree belongs to the hardwoods, is very stable and resistant. The mango tree originates from India, but now grows in almost all equatorial regions. The warm, medium brown colour and the lively curly grain give the wood an impressively individual character.
Stabilised woods for knife handles and woodturning
Stabilised woods are completely impregnated with synthetic resin in a vacuum pressure process. The result is a stable and low-odour hybrid material. Stabilised wood is water-repellent, non-warping and can be worked just as normal wood. It is therefore the best choice for all situations where wood is exposed to tough conditions and warping is to be avoided. Weight and density correspond to tropical hardwoods.
