- Forged from carbon steel, therefore easy to sharpen
- Flattened underside for easy sharpening (back of the blade is narrower), with torsion-resistant back (lacquered)
- Turned ball handles of red beech
- Handles firmly attached with full-length rivets
- Robust leather sheath
