Powermatic 701 Bench Top Morticer

A professional standing morticer for the workbench. The depth feed is regulated by a hand lever which can be attached to the left or right side of the machine without tools (suitable for left- and right-handers). An integrated gas pressure cylinder supports the morticing. The stopper for depth limitation is easily accessible and adjustable. A workpiece hold-down (clamping height 0 to 125 mm) is clamped completely backlash-free on the workpiece by means of a double clamp. The workpiece fence is operated via a rack and rotary knobs on the left and right of the column and is moved parallel. Two adjustable rubber pressure rollers, which are moved in the T-slots of the machine table, press the workpieces against the cast iron stop. Two integrated spacers make it easier to adjust the clearance between chisel and drill tip. The large machine table and fence ensure a stable workpiece support. Easy access to the drill chuck through swing-away cover. For morticing drills with ⅝"and ¾" shank. Max. chiselling depth 140 mm, throat depth from end stop 110 mm, table size 330 x 279 mm. Comes with English and German instructions.
