Course details
This course teaches the fundamentals of a craft that is on the verge of disappearing. From layout work to shaping and joining the individual staves, fitting the bottom, binding with iron hoops, and smoothing with a plane – participants create a small, watertight wooden tub with or without handles, using traditional tools. Thanks to our two experienced coopers, participants have the rare opportunity to learn this historic craft directly from professionals.
