The Hitachi ATS314 steel* core layer is sandwiched between a total of 62 folded stainless steel outer layers, creating a really fascinating blade pattern. The octagonal shape of the handle is made of vividly figured maple wood. The warm brown colour of the fine-polished wood creates an interesting contrast to the black buffalo horn ferrule.
