Taiwanese Scraping Plane

In Taiwan, as in Japan, both original Chinese planes with a cross-handle and imported Japanese planes have been used simultaneously from the 15th century until today. This is not least due to the fact that Taiwan was a province of Japan for half a century. During this time, the original Chinese plane has been further developed and - unlike in China - manufactured with high-quality hand-forged double-layered SUJ2 iron.
