The Viking drill press by Nova features many technical refinements. Similar to the Voyager drill press (No. 720706), the Viking (available in benchtop and column versions) features a digitally adjustable, magnetic DVR (Digital Variable Reluctance) motor. This constantly monitors the running motor in order to adjust the strength of the magnetic field required to maintain constant speed and torque at all times.

The 1 HP DVR Smart Digital Motor constantly monitors all factors and ensures uninterrupted maximum and consistent motor torque.
The sensor-controlled digital motor calculates the ideal speed which is permanently monitored and readjusted.
Electronic depth stop with automatic switch-off when drilling depth is reached.
Automatic self-start for one-hand operation. Drill starts automatically when lowering the spindle.
Large digital display and optional LED lighting for the work area.
Forward and reverse action for versatile application options.
Tilting and rotating benchtop made of grey cast iron with integrated clamping possibilities for optional accessories.
