Kettle Arare

In a traditional Japanese tea ceremony, the water for brewing the tea is first heated in an iron kettle before being poured into the teapot or tea bowl. The kettle is made in a sand mould with high precision by liquid-iron casting. With classic hobnail texture and copper lid with relief design knob. This unenamelled cast iron teapot features excellent heat conductivity and retention. Made in a Japanese master workshop. The teapot is suitable for use with a gas cooker and open fire (all other types of cooker are not suitable).
