He has worked with wood since his youth. In his earlier career as a gardener he was fascinated with trunks and branches and their sometimes bizarre forms. He loathed to simply throw away the sinuous branches and so started to build furniture with them. When he settled in lower Austria he discovered his love for vines and since then builds unusual furniture using vines and barrel staves. He uses the natural form of the wood and creates pieces of furniture, each of which is one of a kind.Christian Neuberger
