In this workshop volume, David Hölter shows how to design and make a welted leather sheath for a non-folding knife. He explains the basic principles and presents different variations in different designs. The methodical instructions enable the reader to make sheaths to their own designs. This volume presents two knife sheaths in detail:

Welted sheath with sewn-on belt loop
Welted sheath with belt clip and safety strap.

Each step, from the first sketch to the final treatment of the leather, is explained with easy-to-understand instructions and illustrated with figures. The appendix contains a complete sewing pattern for each sheath. A general introduction to material selection and tools completes this volume.
