This is not an origami course. Instead, you will learn how to create interesting and practical 3-D forms and 2-D surfaces by folding paper, using only your hands. These forms and surfaces can be freely adapted for use by makers and designers who work in materials such as wood, plastic, metal, fabric, paper, carton and leather. The techniques of folding (in paper) were taught by Prof Josef Albers at the legendary Bauhaus School, as one of the basic vocabularies of design form. Paul Jackson is an internationally known paper artist/designer, who has taught these unique and inspirational ‘Sheet to Form' workshops to makers, designers and students around the world for 35 years.
