Workbench in the style of the 18th century

Unique opportunity to create your own workbench

In the past, workbenches were simpler, heavier and set up for making furniture with hand tools. Many woodworkers are now rediscovering these advantages. That is why these workbenches are making a comeback after more than a century. In our workshop, each participant makes their own workbench out of prepared pieces that are constructed with different joints by hand. The sides are attached to the feet with mortise and tenon joints. The worktop and the base are attached with a robust double tenon joint at the feet that is mortised into the worktop as well as secured with dovetail keys on the sides. A solid »Leg Vise« (front vice with only one spindle) is mounted on the bench. The workbench can be adapted to your own preferences, such as a right- or left-handed version, worktop height and, if applicable, length. You will thus create a unique piece that is tailored to your needs. The workbench is designed in a way that it is easy to disassemble and reassemble in the workshop.
Worktop dimensions approx. 200 x 50 x 12 cm.
  • Geeignete Zangenmechaniken können selbst mitgebracht oder im Kurs erworben werden.
