Otter Folding Knife, Staghorn
A true classic that has been appreciated for decades as a utility knife for everyday use and a reliable companion for hunters. The natural shape of the staghorn handle scales used makes each knife unique. The blade is made of easy-care, rustproof X46Cr13 steel. The nail nick makes it easy to fold out, while a back lock mechanism keeps the blade securely in place. The bolsters, rivets and liner material are made of brass. Rustproof, hardness 57 HRC.
OTTER-Messer GmbH
The Otter company was founded around 1840 in a small »Kotten« - a traditional water-powered grinding shop - near the Königsmühle at Solingen. It was named after the otters living on the banks there at that time. Even today, the pocket and fixed knives are carefully handcrafted in Solingen. The range includes knives for leisure, kitchen, garden and hunting, sold under the brand names Otter, Mercator and Rotwild.
