The Cover Cloth Quilted Jac-Shirt is lighter than a jacket yet warmer than a shirt. It combines the proven functionality of the classic Jac-Shirt with water- and wind-resistant waxed cotton and light quilting. This combination makes the Jac-Shirt a versatile companion, serving well as both a weather-resistant lightweight jacket and an insulating mid-layer under a hunting jacket in inclement weather.
Filson's Cover Cloth is a premium poplin cotton specially waxed in the factory to make it durable and weather-resistant without compromising its natural feel. This treatment imparts a certain robustness while maintaining a pleasantly soft feel. Compared to other Filson materials, the Cover Cloth is softer and particularly comfortable to wear.
The 6-ounce fabric, made of 100 % cotton, is tightly woven, giving it a certain thickness and durability. This density ensures that cold wind is kept at bay while preserving breathability. This makes Filson's Cover Cloth not only durable, but also ideal for changing weather conditions, providing warmth and comfort without compromising breathability.
A light polyester insulation is incorporated between the inner and outer layers of the fabric, providing warmth even in wet conditions. The sleeves are lined with smooth polyester twill, ideal for easy dressing over layers of clothing.
The hand pockets are lined with warm, characteristic Alaska Guide cotton flannel. Sturdy snap buttons close the front placket and chest pockets, and they are easy to operate even when wearing gloves. The adjustable cuffs offer not only individual customisation but also additional protection against wind and moisture. The slightly curved shirt tail ensures a polished finish.
